Time Flies....

Our little Marlee is already 1 week old! I can't believe how quickly that went!!  Ted was able to be home with all of us for 1 week and it was FANTASTIC!  Today, is my first day alone with the girls.  So far, I think it's going pretty good....considering I'm getting a chance to do this quick update :)

Victoria is really adjusting well to having a new little sister in the house.  I asked her the other day who her Mommy and Daddy were and she said Ted and me. Then I asked her who Marlee's Mommy and Daddy were...she said we were too.  So, I think she's starting to understand.  When Marlee isn't in the room she is really cute and asks where she is.  She calls Marlee's umbilical cord her "owie" and always asks to see it.  She sticks her fingers in Marlee's mouth and says "ouch" and likes to steal her blanket and say "mine".  She also asks to hold her little sister and for the most part is very gentle with her.  She informs us any time "baby is crying" and is doing SO WELL at sharing Mommy and Daddy.

Victoria loves going on walks (always in the direction of the park), going down the slides, coloring (especially on the driveway with chalk), and playing hide n seek (or should I say, "hide"...we havent figured out the seeking part yet :))

Marlee is being a great baby.  She loves to snuggle and be held.  She would much prefer that to sleeping in her crib.  It makes for long nights, but she's worth it.  When her eyes are open she loves to just stare at you with those big dark eyes.  She especially loves staring at her big sister.  She's starting to make noises and faces when you talk to her and loves it when we sing to her.  I think she recognizes the songs that we sing to Victoria at bed time and likes those the best....

Well, that's it for now, I have to take advantage of nap time....here are some pictures from last week :)
