Marlee is 3!!!

3 years ago today our family became complete when the most perfect combination of sassy and sweet was born.  She melts my heart daily and I can’t wait to continue to see her grow.

Marlee fun facts:

  • She loves to start her day with strawberry/chocolate milk. A concoction her Daddy introduced her to and she can’t give up.
  • She is rarely seen without her Minnie Mouse blanket, purple Marlee blanket, pink bunny and Minnie Mouse doll.
  • She LOVES to read and reads all the time. She likes to read out loud and hold the book up like she’s the teacher reading to a class.  When you are reading to her, she also must have her own book and will pretend to read that while listening to you read.
  • She’ll only wear dresses and used to only wear nightgowns to bed. But has recently switched back  to feetie pajamas (following her big sisters lead).
  • She is Victoria’s little copycat. Victoria has been known to mimic her as well.
  • Her best friends at school are Aayla and Maddie.  Of course Victoria is her absolute favorite too.
  • She LOVES the Barbie movies. Her current favorite is Princess and the Popstar. She sings along with her microphone and guitar.  She insists on watching it daily.
  • She likes to listen to Bob Marley’s Buffalo Soldier while driving in Daddy’s car or Daddy’s song 1941 (about her Grandma Bettianne).
  • Lately, she likes to sneak in during the middle of the night to snuggle and sleep with Mommy and Daddy.
  • She likes to dress up in her waitress costume, take our orders and cook at her kitchen.
  • While she loves all Disney Princesses, her favorite is Belle.
  • She likes her nails painted and sits so very patiently for them to dry.
  • She loves coloring – with her LEFT hand (like her Momma).
  • Her hair is getting so long and her brown curls match her brown eyes.
  • She is frequently heard clopping around in her high heeled dress up shoes or whatever she can steal from my closet.
  • She’s very independent and stubborn and insists on doing everything herself. And given enough time she CAN do it all pretty well J
  • She’s been potty trained for a few months and even taught herself how to do it.
  • Gymnastics and swimming were some of her favorite things this fall. She’s anxious to start dance classes with big sister next year.
  • She likes to carry around purses and wear jewelry.
  • Marlee mother’s her baby dolls.
  • She’s a Momma’s girl.
  • Marlee is frequently found writing, coloring and “teaching” at her art easel.
  • One of my favorite things about her is her giggle when she’s excited.

Thank you Marlee for lighting up our life.  Our life wouldn’t be complete without you!!!
