Kisses, Clapping and "So Big!", Oh MY :)

Here are some of the latest talents of our little angel. Sorry for the poor video quality, these are from our regular photo camera, I'm not sure how to upload from our video camera. Either way, Enjoy :)

This one is of Victoria clapping, she just started this on Saturday.

This one is a little of Victoria doing "So Big" and some more clapping.

This is one of Victoria playing in front of the mirrors in our dining room. It's one of her favorite places to play. She thinks that the baby in the mirror is so fun, she likes to kiss her and share her toys with her.

Last but not least, here's some fun pictures of Victoria helping her Daddy vacume.

Have a great rest of the week,

Ted, Erica and Victoria

Update - What's new to report?

I keep thinking to myself that there isn't anything new to report, but I suppose there are some things....

At the beginning of February, Ted traveled for work and left Victoria and I at home by ourselves. We had fun having girl time, but we missed Daddy. I am so thankful that we are able to do this as a team. I don't know how parents raise children on their own...it would be way to hard for me.

On February 8th, we celebrated Ted's 32nd Birthday. We went to Buffalo Lake to see Ted's Grandpa, Wheezer. He's been staying in a Nursing Home for the last couple of weeks and we are working on getting him home, but he is there for now. We then came home and had a steak dinner with my parents. Well, the boys had steak and the girls ate all the sides :)

On February 11th, Victoria had her 9 month checkup. She came in at a whopping 20 lbs 4 oz (82nd percentile) and was 29 inches long (95th percentile).

She is getting better and better at crawling. Starting to crawl more with her legs and not so much with just her arms. She can really move around quickly now, you can't take your eyes off of her for one second. She's also been trying to pull herself up on furniture and does pull herself up on us. If you would walk her around holding her hands, she would do it all day - she loves it :) She's wanting less and less baby food and would rather have more and more adult food. Her favorites are ice cream, toast, crackers and cheese. We are trying to keep her on baby food for a little bit longer, but I have a feeling it's going to be hard. Especially with her 6th tooth coming in. She started teething early and already has a mouthful :)
At the end of this month, Ted is going to see his Dad and Mary in Florida. He is very excited to get down there and play his first round of golf. We know he is going to have a blast and wish we could go with him. But it will be another girls weekend at home - we'll have fun too!!!

Hope all is well with you.

Take care,

Laughter

Here's a video from around Christmas. My Mom had her giggling away....it's really cute. Enjoy :)

Mass Update and Blog Makeover

So, it's been way too long since I've posted anything to this blog and it was definitely time for a makeover. So, here we have it, one extra long update with a whole new look for our blog. I hope you like it.

Today, Victoria turns 9 months old. I was talking to a friend and asked her "Why didn't anyone warn me that time would start moving at warp speed when you have children?". Her response, "Because you wouldn't of believed them". I am amazed that it has already been 9 months since Victoria came into our lives. It has been amazing to watch her learn, grow and develop into herself. She has changed so much since that almost 9 lb baby that joined us on April 30th, 2008.

Her latest list of accomplishments:

1. Army crawling like a champ - but getting on all fours and almost doing that crawl.

2. Lots and lots of talking. Her favorite is still Da, Da, Da and when she gets really excited - Dahd!! Other then that the rest are babbles and no words can really be made out. But she loves to look at herself in the mirror and talk and talk and talk.

3. She walks very well while holding onto your hands. I think this is her favorite mode of transportation.

4. She is starting to be able to hold onto furniture and stand up.

5. Likes to give kisses and hugs. Although during teething time the kisses can be painful because she thinks of you as a teething ring...ouch!!

6. Chasing the kitties around the house.

7. Pushes her arms threw her shirt while you are dressing her.

8. Crawling over to her toy baskets and toppling them over so her toys fall out. She could go through them all day long.

Every day brings us new adventures and excitement. We cannot wait to continue to watch her grow and create.

So, what else have we been doing? Let's try to catch up....

FAMILY PICTURES
We had family pictures taken in November. I didn't post them because we used them as our Holiday Greeting cards. A friend of mine, and amazing hobby photographer took them. She did a great job. We couldn't be happier.

Check out all of them at our picture website:

CHRISTMAS WITH THE LAMBRECHTS
The weekend after Christmas we went to New Ulm and had Christmas with the Lambrecht Family. It's so nice to go back to Ted's home town and feel at home. We love being there and spending time with great people. Thank you Duane and Diane for having us all down.

NEW YEARS
Over New Years we went up to the cabin with Aaron, Jenny and Mia Lambrecht. I can't think of a better way to spend New Years. We were able to hang out, relax, eat, sit around in comfies and just enjoy being together and playing with the girls.

WEDDING
We went to a wedding the weekend of January 17th. It was our friends Andy and Julia's. We had a blast hanging out with friends and having a little adult time. While we were gone Uncle Nate babysat Victoria. He came all the way back from Sacramento to hang out with his niece and help us out. He watched her over night and did a fantastic job!!!

BABY HALLOF
In anticipation of her new friend, Victoria threw a "Baby Brunch" for our expecting friends Jenni and Dave. They live all the way in Arizona so it was so much fun to be able to see them and celebrate their good news. We can't wait to meet Baby Hallof.

TONY AND TINA'S WEDDING - MYA AND JOEY'S ANNIVERSARY
Last weekend, we had the pleasure of joining our friends Mya and Joey for their 1st Wedding Anniversary. Joey wanted to surprise Mya and got her tickets to go see Tony and Tina's wedding. For those of you that have never been, I definitely recommend going. It was so much fun. You attend Tony and Tina's "actual" wedding at the chapel and then you go over to the reception hall and join them for the party. It's interactive theater and a comedy. We all had a blast - thank you Joey for including us.

SIP AND SEE FOR MILES TEPLEY
Our other friends Troy and Katy brought their baby boy Miles into the world on October 11th. Last Saturday, our friends Travis and Casie threw them a shower/get together so that everyone could get together and marvel at all the babies. There were four babies there in total and Miles was the only boy. He definitely had his pick of the ladies :) We had so much fun sharing stories and visiting with everyone. Although, Ted and I have come to the conclusion that Victoria is going to be the bully. She was crawling over and piking, pulling and prodding at all the other kids. I think we are going to have to teach her better manners :)

Whew....I think I've caught up on everything. I am sure I am forgetting something, I always do....but there's at least a little recap of what we've been up to. 2009 has had a great start for the Wirtz Family. We wish you all happiness and success in the new year as well.

Hope to see you soon ~ The Wirtz's
**I hope to get more video uploaded soon. So check back :)

New Hat

Ted's cousin Katie has knit Victoria two hats so far. Unfortunately, the first one was too small. But this one now fits her and is just right. I think it is so cute and had to give Katie some credit :)
