She's so silly!

Victoria does the darnedest things to crack me up....here are a few moments caught on camera :)

1. She's incognito. Victoria is insistent that she is ALWAYS cold and needs on a hat and sweatshirt at all times. It can be 90 degrees and she can be dripping sweat, but that sweatshirt MUST stay on, she is COLD.  She also HAS to have on her sunglasses. Here she is at Grandma and Grandpa's but at home, she must wear her Dora glasses. The other ones just won't do.
2. She loves to wear everyones shoes. She'll grab them from the front door and throw them on.  These were some pink heels I had on a for a wedding. I was sure she wouldn't be able to walk in those 3 inch heels...but she's quite the woman!!!  She's also pretty particular on which shoes I should wear. She picks them out constantly. One day on our way to church she chose a pair for me to wear. I went along with it until right before we left and I changed my shoes. She insisted that I go and change them back, so I did. Then as we walked out the door, I put my shoes that I wanted back on.  That little girl marched me back in the house and made me put on the shoes she picked out.  Of course, I can't pick out her shoes. She will only wear her "pink ones", these hot pink dirty crocs.  She can be wearing the prettiest of dresses and cute little shoes will make the outfit, but NOPE only the hot pink dirty crocs will do.
3. Dresses. In particular her Minnie dress.  Victoria LOVEs to wear dresses now. She basically won't let me put anything else on her.  Her favorite dress, that she asks for daily is her "Minnie" dress. This was a dress I had made for her "Minnie" Birthday party.  It was meant to be a 1-time party dress, but we have gotten our uses out of it.  One particular night, she insisted on wearing a dress to bed. I said, she could but only if she had her PJ's on underneath it.  She agreed.  She looked quite silly, but it wasn't worth the fight and much warmer then with just the dress on.  The next morning, she refused to take the dress off!  So, we managed to take of the PJ's but the dress stayed on. She wore it for about 36 hours before I could peel it off of her :)

C on the C

In the summer, one of our favorite meals is Corn on the Cob and Tomatos.  We coud live on this.  Victoria is starting to fall in our footsteps :)

My Momma

What can you say about a Mom? What can’t you say about a Mom? I am so fortunate to have one of the best Mom’s in the world. Since Day 1 she has been one of my biggest supporters and encouraged me to do whatever it is that I dream to do. She’s patient, kind, loving, selfless, beautiful, and just an all around amazing woman! Just ask anyone who’s been around her. She is ALWAYS there for me and someone I can always depend on. I strive to be as good of mother to my girls. She is also one fantastic Grandma. She loves my girls like no other. She can snuggle, cuddle and play with them endlessly. You only have to see the look in Victoria’s eyes to know that her “Ama” is the best!

Fathers

Through the years the friendship that I have with my father has grown and grown. For anyone that knows us, you know that we are almost identical in our ways. This caused some "problems" when I was in my teenage years, but now he the one I call when I need advice, have problems, want to talk or just need a buddy for lunch.  I value the relationship that we have and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.  He has also proven to be one of the best Grandpa's there is! Victoria asks daily to go to "Apa's House".

I am extremely fortunate. Not only do I have a wonderful father, but I also married one.  I could not be more proud of the father that Ted is to our children.  He is patient, kind, goofy and a wonderful teacher to them.  He can get our girls to laugh like no one else can.  All three of us LOVE him immensely.  We don't know what we would do with out his love, laughter, smiles and humor.

A Very Full Weekend

I have been very bad...it's been over a month since I have been on here. We have been extremely busy to say the least!  First things first....

On June 19th, Marleee Viola was baptised.  It was a great weekend spent with many great family and friends.  We went to New Ulm early and were able to see Jenny and Aaron's (Victoria's Godparents) new farm.  What a fun place. We can't wait to spend more time there!  Victoria and Marlee loved the horses and Mia and Victoria quickly became the best of friends! It's so fun to see them interact now :)

Marlee was beautiful as ever on her baptism day.  She wore the same dress that Victoria and I did when we were baptised.  I wonder if I can convince them to have their daughters baptised in it some day :) We were honored that my girlfriend Mya and her husband Joey agreed to be Marlee's Godparents.  Mya is one of my best friends and a wonderful person.  We also had our friend Jared Visker enlisted as Godfather. He grew up with Ted since Kindergarten and they have been causing trouble together ever since. It was easy to love Jared when Ted introduced me 7 years ago :)

That Sunday, was Father's Day.  We were lucky enough to have Ted's Dad Bob in town for the weekend. So, we were able to enjoy Father's Day with both of our Fathers and my Grandfather.  It was a great day with play time outside and a yummy dinner and cake.
